Bahasa Indonesia - Di sebuah desa khayal Wahlheim, Werther, seorang seniman muda dengan tempramen yang sensitif dan berapi-api, berjumpa dengan Lotte, seorang wanita muda cantik nan berbakat. Werther jatuh cinta pada Lotte sekalipun tahu gadis itu sudah bertunangan dengan pria lain bernama Albert, yang terpaut 11 tahun lebih tua. Kegundahan mendalam mengakibatkan Werther harus pergi dari desa. Saat kembali pulang ke desa itu, Lotte dan Albert sudah resmi menikah. Tiap-tiap hari menjadi pengingat yang menyiksa Werther bahwa Lotte tak akan pernah membalas cintanya. Lalu Werther pun bertekad bahwa demi menuntaskan keadaan ini, salah satu orang dalam cinta segitiga ini harus mati.
English - In the fictional village of Wahlheim, Werther, a young artist of a sensitive and passionate temperament, meets Lotte, a beautiful young and talented woman. Werther falls in love with Lotte despite knowing that she is engaged to a man named Albert, eleven years her senior. His sorrow eventually becomes so unbearable that he is forced to leave the village. Upon returning, he finds that Lotte and Albert are now married. Every day becomes a torturing reminder that Lotte will never be able to requite his love. Werther determines that one member of the love triangle – must die to resolve the situation.
